Hyomasa is a restaurant of traditional Kyoto cuisines where the chef cooks your meal in front of you over the counter. The master and his staff are very friendly so you can enjoy seasonal Kyoto-style dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. They offer some kaiseki course meals. These meals include an exquisite sushi course, sasamaki-sushi of red snapper, which is a slice of fresh raw red snapper on vinegared rice, rolled in a bamboo leaf. It is highly recommended because of its good smell of the bamboo leaf and great taste.
Please note that the master and his staffs don't speak English at all. If you visit Hyomasa, you have to speak Japanese or be with someone who can speak Japanese.
