Going down south from Nishikikoji St., you can shortly find a big wooden building in a quiet alley. Nishiki-yu is known as one of the models of the bathhouse in Hayao Miyazaki's movie "Spirited Away." In Nishiki-yu, you can feel Japanese atmosphere, looking at the old-fashioned space, where unique Japanese wicker baskets are lined up on the shelves.
Moreover, the owner creates a cheerful atmosphere for customers all the time. So, you will feel that he has a good personality. Once or twice a month, Nishiki-yu offers various entertainments, such as rakugo, a live concert and a magic show. You will especially enjoy a live concert and a magic show even though you don’t understand Japanese.
If you want to enjoy these entertainments, you must get a ticket. The dates of the entertainments change every month. Please arrange to come to Nishiki-yu, and enjoy taking a bath, a live concert, a magic show and so on!
